• Bringing Jesus to the Faithful •

An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (sometimes called a Eucharistic Minister) is a lay person who helps a priest or deacon distribute Holy Communion to the faithful. They are trained, then commissioned, by the priest to help distribute Communion to everyone.
(Their role is to supplement the priests, not replace them.)
Our Eucharistic Ministers serve at:
- Mass
- Nursing Homes
- Hospitals
- Residences
Here are our guidelines for becoming a Eucharistic Minister:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a practicing Catholic
- Show reverence for the Eucharist
- Dress appropriately
- Participate fully in the celebration
- Attend one or more training sessions
