OUR FOUNDING
- The Society of St. Vincent de Paul was founded by Frederic Ozanam over 150 years ago in Paris, France. Frederic Ozanam was a student at the Sorbonne University where, while discussing the plight of the poor with a group of students, it was decided that, rather than just discussing it, they would take positive actions. Since that time, the Society has grown into an International Organization serving the poor throughout the world. The Beatification of Frederic Ozanam took place in Paris at the Cathedral of Notre Dame in August 1997 at World Youth Day.
- The Ss. Peter and Paul Conference began at the invitation of Fr. Moretti when our parish was first founded. The first meeting was held in December 1988. The conference consists of approximately 10 active members and 10 associate members.
- Our main source of our operating funds is from the POOR BOXES located on the wall at every church entrance and chapel entrance, and at the memorial candle stands. Other sources are private donations, legacies and estate sales.
